From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux 2.4.2-2a i686; en-US; rv:0.9) Gecko/20010507
BuildID: 2001050716

When printing an email message, the body text of the message is printed in what
appears to be Times Roman 4 point text. The headers and footers are normal size
Times Roman.

Times Roman is not use in my font set with Mozilla.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. View email message.
2. Hit "Print", either from menu or icon.

Actual Results: The same as always; very tiny print.

Expected Results: Normal size print (and the ability to specify what font it
should be in)
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true
Target Milestone: --- → mozilla0.9.3
The printing component will print out the document as it is submitted. I think
this has to do with how Mail sets up the document that will be printed. I dont
know who gets this.. so I am giving to someone I know is in Mail/news and can
traige to the right person.

Cc'ing myself.

Don't think it's related to bug 62756. That's fixed. (Seeing this still on 0.9.3.)

Wow, I've been able to find a bug in bugzilla before posting a duplicate,

Could someone please confirm that bug 86033, which has been duped to this bug,
is really the same issue? This bug seems to be dealing with the formatting of a
plain text message body, while 86033 has to do with the headers, which don't
appear to be plain text, since there are boxes drawn around them and since each
header name appears bolded. I would like to reopen 86033 and add additional
comments to it, but not if someone's just going to redupe it. Much obliged.
My apologies for not updating this sooner.

Running Mozilla 0.9.6 (Build 2001112012), the hard copy of a mail message is now
at least readable in what appears to be Times-Roman 8 point (or so) text. It's
still "odd" as Times-Roman isn't used anywhere in my Mozilla font set.

I have noticed a difference between "Classic" and "Modern" theme sets. With
Classic, the header has no shaded border, whereas Modern does have a shaded box
around the header. Fonts are the same, though.
I get the same problem on 1.0 in mozilla (build#2002053012). Running win2k. HP
Deskjet 694c. ppro 200, 256 ram, service pack 2
Solaris 8/Gnome 2.0beta2
I didn't see this with Mozilla 1.0 or 1.1, but I've now seen it with nightly
Build 2002092322.
I am getting this on 2 different machine. Both using Mozilla 1.1 Final.
1) Windows XP Pro(no SP), printing to a HP LaserJEt 5 via Print Server
(Networked).
2) Windows 98 SE, printing to a Canon BJC (unknwon model).

I noticed that the only email that seem to do this to me are ones that are HTML
cformatted, and NOT plain text.

Please HELP! This makes it hard to keep hard copies of ebay transactions.
Might release 1.2 fix this problem?

Is this bug still a problem with current (Seamonkey) builds? Could it be related to the issue described at bug 288445?

If still a problem, is it also seen in the Print Preview window?
No response, duping.
