In imap environment with daily build. vista laptop with 5400 rpm disk. Drafts folder is 600 messages, 2mb. 1. in firefox, do file | email link actual results: inaccessible compose window for 3-15 seconds (can be "seen" via alt+tab, when window finally appears it takes some seconds before one can enter text. expected results: quick appearance of compose window, immediately accessible I reduced Drafts size to 100 messages, about 200k. compacted, restartarted Thunderbird. All seems well now, compose comes up quickly. I'd hope it would not be so sensitive to folder size. But I'm not sure yet if this is all about folder size, or something else - gloda or sync opening of Drafts for example, how long thunderbird is running or how much memory it is using, etc. And I'm thinking it may have gotten worse in the last few weeks. Needs more diagnosis. xref bug 760808, bug 790860

Aceman, do you have a test setup with large size draft folder to test this?

I could make one. Does it need to be IMAP, or can it be local/POP ?

It's unclear to me if this can be reproduced with pop, so I'm inclined to say imap. But perhap both should be tested.
Maybe another Alfred could get a profile for it?

I didn't see a clear duplicate in this query https://mzl.la/2zqTzy1 but perhaps someone else can.
