Details

When drag selecting the proxy name or port in the proxy setup box, right clicking causes the text to be unselected, so you can't copy it. Drag select then CTRL + C works fine...

I've never heard of this. Who controls the context menu? XUL?
cc'ing Mr XP Menus [pink], and a couple of editor folx to see if they have further wisdom re: context menus in textfields here. this WFM when i drag-select and bring up the context menu for the Location textfield in the Navigator pref panel. but, oddly, this does *not* work in *any* of the textfields in the Proxy panel. tested with 2001.08.06.0x comm bits on linux, winnt and mac.

Now seems to be fixed in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.3+) Gecko/20010822

Despite of comment #8 this seems fixed now. I tested the steps to repro in at least 3 duplicates as well as those listed here with 1.6 and could not reproduce on Win2k. So if nobody objects, this can be closed.
