From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC; en-US; rv:0.9.3+) Gecko/20010809
BuildID: 2001080908
When I type in some URL's no autocomplete takes place.
No URL list is shown.
Just the "Search Google for" (because I use Google).
When I start typing "h" for "http://" URLs beginning
with "http://www.h" show up but as soon as I type the next
"t" they all disappear.
I guess the "http://www." part is somewhat ignored.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Type in any URL in the URL bar.
Actual Results: No autocomplete, no list.
Expected Results: Autocomplete takes place.
Other candidates appear in a dropdown list.
Confirmed under Mac/2001080214. Type an "h" into the URL bar and autocomplete
suggests every http:// URL theretofore accessed. Type a "t" so that "ht" is now in the URL
bar, and all autocomplete suggestions disappear until the first character after the double
forward slashes is entered.
This doesn't make any sense. If the intent is to shield the user from suggesting every http
URL accessed when anything from "ht" to "http://" is entered in the URL bar, then it
shouldn't happen on the initial "h," either.
However, reporter, it is not appropriate to call this a "regression" unless you supply the
bug number that has regressed.
Marking trivial as that is appropriate to this bug.

I assumed bug #87667 had caused the problem.
However, I don't intend to offend hewitt or anyone else
by arguing.
Just to make myself clear that I had reasons to think
it was a "regression".
Further on I will pay attention to the rule.

This is happening only with Classic theme.
Autocompletion working with Modern.
It started before 0808 build.

My apology.
This behavior is the same for Modern and Classic themes.

Changing: (OS) Windows 3.1 -> All, since Hardware = All.
(This will help on bug 165825 :-))
