Right now, it's just plain Too Hard to run Robocop tests locally.  This really shows when working on Robocop tests in an IDE (using, for example, recent progress on Bug 853045).  Motivated by my work on that ticket, I've filed a bunch of meta bugs tracking work to make this easier.

What I'd really like is to not require runtestsremote.py locally, so that it's trivial to use IDE integration to run individual tests and suites of tests.
