Steps to reproduce:

I have a list of sites that are explicitely allowed to store cookies in Preferences -> Privacy -> Exceptions. All other cookies are deleted at the end of a session.


Actual results:

When syncing, Firefox doesn't sync the exception list.


Expected results:

The exception list should be synced along with the other preferences.

Agree, ff sync does NOT sync "cookies exceptions" even though cookies is selected in the sync list.

Yeah, Sync doesn't try and copy this data.  It probably should, along with other site permissions.

I have this issue too, and I just lost over 30 exception sites! Do you know how hard it is to remember all of google's god damn secret linked cookies? Lol

So this is EIGHT YEARS OLD and counting. [Bug 1725954] cookie exceptions do not sync

Just another bug swept by.

FIX THIS How hard can it be? With everyone fixing privacy issues, a simple sync settings bug should be easy. And don't say "it open source have a go yourself" crap, not everyone has the active knowledge of the code base, problem space, etc. At least document why fixing this is hard. Thought Erlang devs were hard for getting info from, but EIGHT years waiting on something that seems core to sync settings is stupid.

I can't see the JIRA issue, I hope this is being actively worked on. I have an annual ceremony of closing my Firefox account and clearing history and as part of this I have to manually update site exceptions. So the synchronisation feature has been basically non-functional for eight years. And I am now seeing lots of handwringing about Firefox only having 4% market share. Could that be because core-functionality has basically been abandoned in the push for services that may or may not earn revenue?

You guys really need to get this fixed soon. Its annoying. The automatic deletion checkbox is synced, but the exceptions not. Its annoying to maintain a list of 40+ domains

Lougenia, please mark Bug 1913651 as a duplicate of this bug. You've closed it as a WONTFIX saying this feature "is not supported at this time," but you should have just changed the defect field to enhancement, as it is a feature request for a new feature.
