Please post your items that should appear in the M7 release notes here.
From http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7789

"Quoting is not completely functional in M7. When you reply to a message, the
original text is inserted, but the blockquote element (html compose) is not
being inserted to distinguish the quoted text."

Please add this to the section for known problems for mail/news on all
platforms.
From http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6931

"Replying to a news message does not automatically fill in the name of the
newsgroup in the compose window addressing area. You must manually input the
name of the newsgroup at this time."

Please add this to the mail/news section for all platforms.
Remove from M6 release notes:

Reference http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6655

Please remove all occurrences where you mention bug 6655. Specifically, under
Additional Mail Functionality, All Platforms section, please remove the line:
"Posting to newsgroups on other news hosts is not yet implemented."

Modify this line to read: "You can post to newsgroups. To post to other news
hosts, you need to set the default nntp server pref: "network.hosts.nntp_server"

Currently, the default value of this pref is "news.mozilla.org"."
Please update the table you have under "Available Mail/News Functionality" with
the new items listed under http://www.mozilla.org/mailnews/smoketest.html. You
only need two columns - Functionality and Description.
From http://www.mozilla.org/mailnews/prefs-info.html which is where the
mail/news preferences and what they do are updated.

Under the "Additional Mail Functionality" section, please add MacOS to the Win32
and Linux section about bringing up the address book and seeing the UI. Please
reword to say: "You can bring up the Address Book and see the UI. To see the
address books and directories on the Address Book window left pane, copy the
"ldap_2.*" prefs from 4.5 prefs.js into prefs50.js. However, the card data in
the UI is hardcoded at this time and you cannot make any address book entry
changes or deletions."

Remove the part about the address book not being implemented in M6 statement.

Pls ignore my comments from 06/15/99 13:39 and remove reference to bug
http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7801. The bug was recently fixed
and no longer applies.
From http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8457:

"Move and copy message feature is not working for the IMAP protocol."

Please add this to the list of known problems section for all platforms.
Well, my comments were lost when I created those attachments. But you can
surmise, from the above, that selecting the "Colors" "Download" or "Smart Update"
prefs panels will crash.

The attached files should replace files in the directory Chrome/pref/content/
default/
also another pref related item.
double clicking on items in preferences panels is likely
to result in crashes. should be repaired by m8.
See bug http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8608
for more details.
From http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8315:

"To use the plain text compose window, add the following line to your preference
file:

user_pref("mail.identity.id1.send_html", false);

Please note that there are known problems when using certain keys in the plain
text compose window such as return/enter key and space bar."
From http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8515:

"Composing and posting 10-15 news messages may cause messages not to display in
the message pane afterwards, may prevent you from opening other Navigator
windows, or any task that requires running any URLs. The workaround for now is
to exit and restart Apprunner."

Please add this to the list of known problems for all platforms.
Moving all Apprunner bugs past and present to Other component temporarily whilst
don and I set correct component. Apprunner component will be deleted/retired
shortly.
Grrr.. this should just be fixed but I guess for now the release notes can just mention:

For all platforms:

"The 'Back', 'Forward', and 'Stop' buttons will often appear to be inactive(greyed out) when in fact they are not. Currently, mousing

over them or clicking them will not give you any visual feedback but WILL result in the appropriate action being taken. For more

information see http://mozilla.bugzilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7909"
Please Add for M7;
Known Bugs
"The throbber, mozilla animation in upper right during page load, may not work
on Mac and Linux. It is off and on. Page will still load, but activity of that
load will not be apparent most of the time."
