1. Close sidebar by clicking on grippy.
2. Click on grippy to reopen it, except move your mouse
   slightly between the mouse down and mouse up.

Sidebar opens to the minimum width instead of springing open all the way.

Maybe the distance you need to move to begin a drag should be increased.

I think this might be better, but I can still reproduce it pretty easily using 
2/14 builds on windows and linux, so I'm re-opening, but removing the PDT+ and 
beta1.

I wonder if a safe fix would be to disallow resizing in the grippy area.

To reproduce just open and close sidebar really quickly, being sure to be sloppy 
when clicking on the grippy. Let me know if you have trouble reproducing.

Also in the *opened* state, for *some* splitters (eg address book)  grippy collapses if mouse moves before mouseup / unclick (bug doesn't happen with SM mailnews window)
