We need to support multiple 3-pane layouts like we did in 4.5.
Paul and I both agree that XUL fragments are the way to go....then we can turn
them on and off (or load and unload them) with JavaScript.

Requesting beta2 consideration, since without this, I can't do the real-world
mail/news tasks I need to do: can't read news or check on large mailing lists
filtered to other folders while still keeping my inbox open.

Akkana, I think you're talking about a different issue. This bug is for whether
the folder pane is the height of the full window vs. whether the message pane is
the full width of the window. The "Window settings pref".

Surprisingly, I couldn't find a bug for the thing you're talking about, so I
entered a new one as bug 31805. I know putterman has thought a lot about that.

Sorry, you're right, this isn't the droid I was looking for.  I'll join the
other bug.  Removing beta2 keyword from this one.
