Details
Overview: Drive increase in Firefox downloads and retention by increasing loyalty and advocacy through a contest for filmmakers telling the Firefox story through short films.
Current project wiki can be found here: https://intranet.mozilla.org/FirefoxFlicks
Will move this to a public wiki after the program has been announced in December.
Project Scope: There will be three phases to Firefox Flicks.
Phase 1 - Announcement
On or about Dec 7, we will announce the program with a landing page. This page will include teaser video, '06 winning videos, legal, creative brief, prize structure and a sign up form so that we can send reminders and encouragement packs to those who sign up. Additional videos and announcements will be added to this page in the following months.
Creative is designing the landing page, implementation, ResponSys integration, QA, load testing, l10n and infrasec will be required.
Phase 2: Submission site (Feb/March 2012). This will be the site where filmmakers can submit their creations for entry in the contest. This site will require voting in multiple categories and potentially filmmaker profile pages. We should discuss whether or not people need to sign-in with browserID to vote. Integration with a subtitling tool like Universal Subtitles would be great and potentially enabling submissions that use popcorn.js as well
Needed: UX, design, implementation, BrowserID integration, l10n, QA, IT, Infra/sec
Phase 3: Contest winners - will need to update the site to announce winners in various categories.
Needed: l10n, implementation
Dependencies:
Legal: Legal will be require for site TOS, Contest legal for multiple locales as well as prizing
Security: Security review and infra will be needed.
Finance: N/A
App: Application will be required to allow for uploading of videos as well as voting on videos - would we want to do something as complex as filmmaker profiles
Assumptions: This site will be localized
This site will be accepting video submissions
This site will require registration to upload a video
This site will need to have integration with Universal Subtitles or similar translation tool
This site will require voting and voter registration
This site will collect e-mails via Responsys (or current e-mail provider)
This site will need to be load tested.

New public project wiki page: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Websites/Firefox_Flicks and Christie Koehler will be taking over as TPM on this project for the build of the submission site. Also, all new bugs should be filed in Websites:Firefox Flicks.
