(Whiteboard: xpmenus will fix this)
In the 06/12/99 build, the Editor testbed's paragraph, font, size and color pull
downs on the toolbar don't work. When you click on the toolbar buttons, the
menus don't show up.

The popup menus are defined in EditorAppShell.xul and they look OK.
The menus are supposed to be automatic - no editor specific code.
Was this killed by XPIDL changes?
Simon: Any ideas? Does it work on Mac?
David: Can you check if popups work at all?

All popups in editor are funtioning correctly under Win95 (Build ID 1999061208) There are however two partial text color icons in the toolbar. And clicking on a second button while the first popup is still up will yield the new popup but the second button does not get the depressed look and the first button stays depressed. I'll investigate further and write up another bug if it doesn't already exist.

The real bug was that the popup alignment wasn't working correctly.
The problem with toolbar spacing (like the "partial text color icons")
should be fixed. Note: please use Enter key at end of lines in these comments.
(Don't let it autowrap.)
I'm reopening this one...THey just don't work in the Linux builds..
Charley come by if you wanna see it..Also alignmentpull-down button doesn't
work

Agreed, there are no pulldown menus at all on Linux from the editor toolbar
items.

I discussed this with saari and I know what needs to be done. It shouldn't take
me very long, so I believe I can do this as soon as I arrive.

hyatt, can we do xp for these for m9?
Comment 16•26 years ago

For M9? No, probably not. There's still a view bug that has to be resolved
before the menus can really be used.

Moving to M10. Popups are being reimplemented using XP menus, so there's no
point in working on these natively in M9.

oh, whoops. i see your comment. i thought i had moved it to m10 by accident as
i was changing practically all my bugs around. moving back to m10 and removing
from the M9 feature work dependancy graph and adding to the M10 one
