We have tons of ancient tools relating to memory usage that nobody uses. Lots of out-of-date documentation, too. I want to clean this up, partly so I can learn about still-useful tools, and partly just to reduce the amount of junk in the tree.

The new memory tool documentation is in progress. There's a new section at https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Performance called "Memory profiling and leak detection tools". I'll add more stuff there shortly.

This is now more or less complete.
With only one dependent bug remaining (bug 1014341) this bug is no longer needed.
