Details

Currently we are doing a SeaMonkey Help cleanup for SeaMonkey, and many fixes (probably: except typo-bugs) will need to be integrated into Help of localized Builds and into Language packs. We will see whether it will be necessary to submit separate bugs for each fix for each language, I hope we will find a more convenient way.

We just started with fixes for SeaMonkey Trunk (2.46), I think it's early enough to start in August with porting fixes to localizations.

Existing SeaMonkey localizations (not all with localized Help):
Belarusian, Catalan, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Czech, Dutch, English (British), Finnish, French, Galician, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Lithuanian, Norwegian (Bokmål), Polish, Portuguese (Portugal), Russian, Slovak, Spanish (Argentina), Spanish (Spain), Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian

The sv-SE l10n team at a recent hackaton decided to replace the outdated translated help files with the en-US help files. This was done yesterday and included in the sign-off for SeaMonkey 2.46.

Thank you for info! Can you please update table with MS localization info on <https://wiki.mozilla.org/SeaMonkey:Localization_Teams> and check whether the help files sync problem also affects Help sv-SE?

[Bug 1247386] SeaMonkey Help composer_help.xhtml: Chapter "Adding Mathematical Formulas to Your Web Page" missing in Localized Composer Help

Hi, I think this line is wrong:

http://hg.mozilla.org/comm-central/rev/cc9ec56a0499#l5.12

It is using the same ID than the line below.

Mind filing a bug for that so it doesn't get lost?

This bug, as bug 1247386, is not really actionable these days. We moved pretty much all localizations to Pontoon, which means localization teams don't have access to Mercurial. Keeping this content in sync with en-US is also extremely painful, so you might need to identify alternative solutions (move the help online? Ship en-US for all?).

I believe both bugs should be closed as WONTFIX at this point.

Well, the reasons for having filed this Bug persist.

But indeed, for SeaMonkey localization issues "Mozilla localizations" might no longer be the appropriate Product. I filed "
Bug 1572914 Find a new "home" for SeaMonkey Localization issues" for this problem.
