199209 - Large site icons (favicon) are not scaled in Bookmarks Manager, Bookmarks Sidebar, and Personal Toolbar menus

It seems that the site http://www.hmetzger.de/net6e.html has a larger favicon
than normal. While it is displayed correctly everywhere, in the sidebar, only
the top of the icon is displayed.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add http://www.hmetzger.de/net6e.html to your bookmarks
2. Go to the website to get the site icons
3. Open the bookmarks sidebar

Actual Results:  
Icon is too large.

Expected Results:  
Icon should be normal.

ok, the hmetzger favicon is a .gif file of size 30x30
the linuxhardware one is a 100x91 gif (in a file called favicon.ico)

presumably the bookmarks frontend does not scale the image so it's cropped by
the <tree>

treechildren:-moz-tree-image should be resized to 16px x 16px.

To avoid too much width for large site icon, adding below to userChrome.css
might help as temporary measure. Out of 16px is cut off though...

This is pretty visible bug so I request blocking 1.4.1.

Probably be a dupe of bug 175787 as mentioned in commnet 14.

#17 doesn't work for me (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4)
Gecko/20030624), icons in bookmark sidebar are trimmed, not resized, as one
should expect, and additional space appears e.g. in Preferences dialog (in tree
on the left side, between text and tree symbols) :-(

Holger Metzger lost his domain by a trick, it is now redirected to some
insurance agent, the new domain is

but I don´t see a favicon there.

the cropping of site icons is just visible in tree views, nowhere else.

no problem in url bar, personal toolbar och in the bookmarks menu.

I am using Mozilla Suite 1.6 (the release version).

bookmark view it shows right.
