Bug 11076 - *.eml, news://host/article or imap:// should open the article/mail
in a new mail window
Bug 36662 - news:group or news://host/group urls (autosubscribing or not) should
select newsgroup in the folder pane (which will load threadpane)
Bug 89939 - URI-parser fails for news:[e-mail]
Bug 108297 - Move URI parsing to ParseUrl() from LoadUrl() 
Bug 108877 - Support <news:msg-id> URLs (isn't this a DUP of bug 89939?)

Adding more news:/URI bug items to list:

Bug 16343: Default mail and default nntp server/account 
   (needed for news:<group> URI resolution)
Bug 41133: news://host/article will add server if not already configured
   (rather than simply showing the article; related to 11076)
Bug 64142: when running a news:group url, pop up a dialog that allows a user to 
choose server
Bug 77195: support news, imap, mailbox message urls from the browser (needed 
bookmarking)
   (the news portion of this bug seems to be implemented...)
Bug 80972: running a news://host/message-id url for an expired article in the 
browser window will load the "Error" html in the 3 pane 
   (rather than in the browser; related to 11076)
Bug 110841: news:// with a null argument prompts, "Would you like to subscribe 
to 9?"
   (bogus confirmation message)
Bug 129574: Autosubscribe/expired message links open in new window
   (should use current mail/news window instead)
Bug 201721: 'news:' URL from external source spawns extra blank window

I'm no longer at Netscape/AOL, but I suspect these tracking bugs may be useful
for those still actively involved, as well as future development.
