This bug is to track all the work on desktop involved for implementing the the ability to:

  • Sending commands to close synced tabs on other devices
  • Receive commands for closing tabs on the device

We'll consider this ready for nightly testing when we hit these milestones:

  1. Able to send close tab commands to other devices
  2. Able to receive close tab commands from other devices and close those tabs
  3. Show notifications to the user that a tab has been successfully closed
  4. When clicking on the notification, showing the user a recently closed tab list (Firefox View has a great section for this)
  5. Telemetry to tell us the feature is working as intended
