For Firefox 4, we hope to address a lot of the issues with Firefox that cause user frustration and friction. This is based on feedback in the following Reddit thread:
http://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/boipt/i_work_on_the_firefox_user_experience_team_and/
…and the related presentation on the “100 paper cuts” given by me here at Mozilla at the Design Lunch brownbag on April 22nd, 2010.
This is a meta-bug to track these issues as a project in itself.
Links to presentation slides/video about this + any related blog post will be added once they have been posted.
Don't add bugs to this meta-bug without checking with limi first! While there are a lot of issues that can be considered a “paper cut” issue, we need to keep this list manageable if it's going to be useful as a project. :)

Bug 437296 isn't from the redit thread (that I know of), but is a long standing pretty deep paper cut for OS X users.

I'm sorry, I really don't know how to do this, but I think bug #569816 should be in the paper cuts project... It's small enough that it's easy to do, and, I don't know, it's a feature request... How can I "submit" it to consideration?

You can middle-click on any bookmark to open it in a new tab. The problem is that this closes the bookmarks menu. There's already bug 260611 to deal with this, and it is already on the papercuts list.

Many issues might need UX input here. But we often don't know who we can send needinfo request to. I think we might need a UX module owner/maintainer list here, like[1]. Anyone can help to build this, or we already have one?

Officially the Firefox module owner (currently :dcamp) is in charge of answering product questions, in reality as one of the MoCo employees, Dave delegates this responsibility to the Firefox Product team, including UX. We don't list these people on the module owner page. If you have trouble finding the right UX contact, find me and I will find one for you.
