Similar to Thunderbird bug 564148, I am creating a meta bug for tracking Firefox enterprise issues. This is NOT intended for all bugs that are important for a particular enterprise. It's intended for bugs that are important to enterprise but would probably not otherwise be as important.
I wondered if there is a keyword for enterprise bugs. So you are going to track them via meta-bug?
(In reply to :aceman from comment #1) > I wondered if there is a keyword for enterprise bugs. So you are going to > track them via meta-bug? Yes, that's the plan. That appears to be what the Thunderbird folks do.
meta has several advantages, the biggest one IMO for the average Joe being that if Joe mainly or only cares about when each bug is identified as "relevant" and when it is fixed, then Joe are well informed and the bugmail load is nominal. In short, Joe subscribes to meta and the task is done (and no queries needed).
bug 719952 is another meta bug around remote profiles, particularly around Mac. There are some major regressions between Firefox 3.6 and Firefox 4 that are preventing some Mac shops from moving up.
Depends on: 719952
Summary: (ff-enterprise) Key "Firefox in the enterprise" bugs [meta] → (fx-enterprise) Key "Firefox in the enterprise" bugs [meta]
I'm adding this one because it could make enterprises life easier
Depends on: 440908
Summary: (fx-enterprise) Key "Firefox in the enterprise" bugs [meta] → Key "Firefox in the enterprise" bugs [meta]
This should depend on bug 373512 but I can't add depends here.
No longer depends on: 452781
