The Softonic installers (see URL) offer to install one add-on (sometimes a group of add-ons) with their software. There seems to be a list that it runs down, and installs the first one that it hasn't come to yet. We should try to resolve this situation with Softonic, and possibly blocklist the relevant add-ons.

To add insult to injury, they have Firefox 1.0 listed as a "Hot" download on their front page, and likewise silently install these crapware add-ons alongside it: http://firefox-1.en.softonic.com/ For modern versions, they thankfully just provide our regular installer.
