Are there any updates on this, or are you still awaiting a response from Media Foundation (as per BUG 1909303 )?
The other blocking BUG 1909826 sounds like an edge case?
I gather some users are wanting this, to be able to support 4K playback from Netflix via the Firefox browser, on a 4K monitor.

This has been shipped in bug 1919627. AFAIK Netflix is already able to stream 4K video for some Firefox users when they have SL3000 clearlead capability, but they haven't fully enabled this feature for all Firefox users yet. Hopefully they will do that soon.
