The newly added feature for saving complete Web Pages (fix for bug 11632) has bred a new family of small bugs that are hard to track. I'm creating this bug for tracking them.

Has a bug been filed for the fact that not all images are saved? I think it's been mentioned on another bug, images in the form name<number>.jpg/gif, whatever, are only saved as name.jpg.

Probably off-topic and of course no bug report in the narrower sense: some time ago I analyzed the saving problems with firefox 1.5/2.x and created a firefox extension together with a written paper about web page saving problems in general. Take a look at WebPageDump: http://www.dbai.tuwien.ac.at/user/pollak/webpagedump/index.html and the Scrapbook extension on which WebPageDump is based: http://amb.vis.ne.jp/mozilla/scrapbook/ Maybe some parts of the source code could be helpful for improving the firefox saving routine...

I can confirm that this problem still exists with Firefox Version 13.0. One big problem is that when you open a saved Webpage, Firefox keeps demanding to place a bunch of Cookies. FF should never ask to save a Cookie when opening a saved Webpage.
