Mozilla 1.0 has to rule!
Can somebody please explain to me the difference between this bug and bug 103705?
I think we should leave this for public consumption, pre RC1 so it doesn't suck..

I think we should also add another bug for up and coming RC1 bugs only that are
found... 

Mozilla 1.0 ship is for developers to keep track of feature work and project
management stuff that they want done and will work on if time permits.  *but
wont necessarily get fixed if its on the dependency list*

I'll add some stuff here that people can track bugs that
need/should/want/doesn't work..etc.. Its really a bunch of queries that
hopefully tracks the right bugs, some of the queries probably overlap too.. 

we can use them to help the developers with and maybe if you're smart enough,
help fix them.. test em out.. etc.

dman84, named queries are account-specific. thus, if you paste a named query

squid is a HTTP proxy - it appears it has a default of limit 4k on URLs.  IE (up
to 5.5 anyway) can apparently only handle 2K in a URL.  apache apparently keels
over at 16k.  the HTML guide i have here says (in relation to GET method forms)
that POST should be used instead for more than 2K of data.  i think the
assertion that "6K is insane for URLs" is reasonable.  those URLs have a huge
amount of redundant stuff in them - there is no need, for example, to specify
every possible component, simply eliminating all the component criteria will do
the same thing, without being so long.

the URLs do seem to work in mozilla, but the rendering of the URLs on this
bugzilla page (with this machine - 0.9.9 win98) is screwy - all the characters
are on top of each other, and scrolling up and down causes them to redraw oddly
and occasionally disappear.

With the Mozilla 1.0 release probably less than a month away, how will 
developers have time just to get to all the mozilla1.0+ bugs and the 
nsbeta1+ bugs... let alone the bugs nominated but not approved for 1.0?!

I think bug 143805 is pretty critical because ads often trigger it.  It's caused
by embedded shockwave flash videos, and makes the screen black out until

If I didn't like HTML bookmarks so much, I would've dumped NS4.x for IE long ago.
After waiting months for bug 105263 to get fixed, things only got worse.

please clear out these normal user annoyances. they make mozilla look very
lousy. bug 61893 makes it impossible to user many website forms.
bug 142184 and bug 142183 , mozilla doesnt say minimized.
bug 82534 cant type anything into mozilla.
all these bugs happen very often and are serious blockers to normal users which
will get confused by these happenings.
mailing lists and the download manager are very bugyy , shouldnt they be removed
for a 1.0 release ?
Please fix Bug 137223 into the 1.0 branch, it's a major PNG regession bug, it
prevents the use of alpha channel transparency which is precisely the best asset
of PNG format. It's been fixed into the trunk for a while now and I would like
not to see it in Mozilla 1.0 and Netscape 7 final releases.

might be fixed on the 1.0 branch already, but not yet in trunk?
I want to nominate bug 145941 'All resizable/movable windows should remember
user selected size/position'. Sure not a serious one, but something very visible
(e.g. as in bug 99860).

"verified" (I thought I'd checked 'em all, but I missed a couple).
Ok, I noticed the Bug 120327 is mentioned in here as something brought over from
RC2 but I think (selfish, I know) it deserves a little more attention.

This bug is about Mozilla unecessarily adding .exe or .txt (and even other
types) to downloaded files.

The bug is very visible, and EXTREMELY annoying. It is confusing for newbie
users as well as more experienced people. It has got a lot of votes, and a huge
amount of duplicate bugreports have been posted. This "feature" has time and
time again been  asked to be removed (but cannot because of aworkaround for a
security bug).

I ask, beg and plead, please fix this for Mozilla 1.0

Yes, everyone (that includes all those developers, the drivers, and so on)
*knows* how annoying this is. Everyone *wants* this fixed. But no one has so far
delivered a good patch. Continuusly whining about it, as some are doing it,
won't help.
Are we going to removed the Build ID from the top bar? It looks wierd if we
release it like that!
Regarding comment #34 about bug 120327 :  

I do not think that voting will make much difference.  Voting for the bug will
not help provide any current Mozilla developers with more time to address the
issue and voting will not produce a new developer with the time to fix the
problem.  

Voting for the bug might up its ranking in the most voted for bugs, but that
only makes a difference when the necessary people are not already sufficiently
aware of the issue.  In this case, I think they issue is well known.

If you really want to make a difference in the amount of attention that the bug
is getting then offer up some monetary reward for the developers who provide the
patch.  That would be a lot better incentive for independant developers than
increasing the vote.
I'd definitely like to see bug 138117 fixed. The fact that completed downloads
aren't removed from the cache folder can cause big problems. My friend dled the
some gzipped human genome data (1.8 gigs), and he had a copy of the file, a copy
in cache, and the gunzipped file (8 gigs). That's a whopping total of 11.6 gigs
when there should've only been 9.8 gigs. That seems like a HUGE bug to me that
should be fixed by 1.0. Hopefully someone else agrees.
I'd like to nominate bug 139939 'installation failed due to error -214'.  If
this bug remained, it will give a bad impression to Mac users.
Could somebody confirm me that regression bug 137223 which is already fixed into
the trunk will not be fixed for the final 1.0 release and that we should no
longer use PNG transparencies in divs ? This is not fixed in RC3 nor NS7PR1 and
was not added to the RC3 dependency list.

Far too late in the game... there isn't even any patch for that bug yet.
what about bug 119796 now ? asa himself pointed out it should be fixed or
removed for the next major release.
Bug 146619 is the annoying oingo bug. It's a recent regression.
