Extension manager API rewrite tracking bug
This bug is to track the API improvements necessary to allow the main UI to operate without having to speak RDF and to try to clean up other issues that are holding back application and extension developers
This is turning into more of a large scale change bug than just hitting on APIs right now. It will impact multiple other bugs.
Summary: Add-ons manager API improvements tracking bug → Add-ons manager rewrite tracking bug
Target Milestone: mozilla2.0 → mozilla1.9.3
what's the status of this? you'd mentioned a WIP patch. is that something we can break up into pieces, and have various people work on?
(In reply to comment #2) > what's the status of this? you'd mentioned a WIP patch. is that something we > can break up into pieces, and have various people work on? It is in progress and is currently my primary focus. Right now there is some prototype work and I am talking with people to try to finalise the API that we'll be implementing. It probably makes more sense for one person (probably me) to implement the working skeleton and then have other people help out with getting everything working but I will start looking for people at that point.

I'm going to assume that the fact that Mossop has been revising these docs steadily over the duration of Firefox 4 means they're current, and I'm marking this as documentation complete. They certainly look thorough to me as I look through them.
